Resovia hopeful they can have equal matchup with Belogorie in remake of #CEVCupM semis

Rzeszow, Poland, March 19, 2018. On Tuesday night, Asseco Resovia RZESZOW will play against Belogorie BELGOROD in the re-match of the 2018 CEV Volleyball Cup – Men semis. Last week Belogorie stormed to a comprehensive 3-0 home victory but there is still much excitement and anticipation in Rzeszow ahead of the home game with the Russian ‘Lions’.
Asseco Resovia just claimed a victory in the Polish national league against Łuczniczka BYDGOSZCZ, thus securing fifth place in the current standings. “The match against Luczniczka was not perfect. We have to improve a few elements before the matchup with Belogorie. I think that we have to play much better than we did in the first match and this applies to every element of the game. We must make fewer mistakes, because when we make too many in a row, the opposing team can easily break away by a few points,” said Paweł Rusek.
“We do not have a lot of time before this match but we have to play better in attack after a positive reception and get a few blocks. We must do this in order to have an equal fight with the Russians,” added Aleksander Śliwka.
Belogorie BELGOROD lost their chance to fight for the National Championship of Russia. Their mobilisation will certainly be even greater, so as not to miss their chance to win the CEV Cup. “Compared to the match in Belgorod, we have to improve many things. The most important one will be our attitude and we should focus on our own game. If we play a good match, then the result will be open,” concluded Jakub Jarosz.
