Clash of the titans coming up in CEV Cup finals with TRENTINO hosting Dinamo MOSCOW

Trento, Italy, April 6, 2015. The 2015 European Cup season is coming to a close this week with the much anticipated finals of the CEV Volleyball Cup and CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup. Italy’s Energy T.I. Diatec TRENTINO and Russia’s Dinamo MOSCOW are the teams that are set to fight for the crown of the 2015 CEV Volleyball Cup – Men with the first leg coming up on Tuesday night in Italy before the ‘grand finale’ follows on Saturday in the Russian capital.
The first round of this final starring two world-class teams is set for Tuesday at 20:30 CET. The mentor of TRENTINO, Radostin Stoytchev, feels like Dinamo are the favourites going into this final as they can count on a terrific roster including some of the world’s most accomplished Volleyball players. The matches will be a remake of the 2010 CEV Volleyball Champions League Final played at the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland, which TRENTINO claimed on their way to sweeping three straight titles in Europe’s elite competition.
TRENTINO have been doing well also in their national league and last Saturday routed Copra Volley PIACENZA in three sets to further cement their leadership in the standing at the end of the regular season. Since the start of their European campaign this year, TRENTINO have also scored 10 wins in as many matches they have contested in the CEV Volleyball Cup. Three players from the team that edged Dinamo MOSCOW in the Champions League final back in 2010 – Matey Kaziyski, Emanuele Birarelli and Lukasz Zygadlo – will try to upset the Russian team once more as they did five years ago in Lodz.
“Dinamo MOSCOW is a very strong team and they can count on a great roster which makes them the favourites for the title,” TRENTINO’s mentor Radostin Stoytchev says. “However, we want to play our best and take advantage of the home factor in order to get the right edge and boost of confidence before flying to Russia later this week.”
