COMPETITION FORMAT
General Information

29 teams were included in the Drawing of Lots in Varna (BUL) on the 30th June 2016 for the 2017 edition of the CEV Volleyball Cup – Men. 11 of these were directly qualified to the 1/16 Finals as per the latest CEV European Ranking List.

The 18 remaining teams compete in the 1/32 Finals with 8 losers coming from the 2nd Round of the CEV Volleyball Champions League.

The teams drawn together will play against each other in Home and Away matches. The winners compete in the 1/16 Finals with the 11 seeded teams and the 8 remaining teams coming from the 3rd round of the CEV Volleyball Champions League.

Winners progress each time to the next round of the competition.

Please note that this season, there will be no connection between the CEV Volleyball Cup and CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup.
