COMPETITION FORMAT
General Information

FIVB have awarded CEV with two guaranteed slots for European teams in this competition.

European teams will qualify to the 2015 FIVB Men’s U21 World Championship through a European Qualification consisting of two Rounds:

1st Round (competition dates: 8-11th January 2015)
- Teams playing in tournaments with 3 or 4 teams in each
- The exact number of tournaments will depend on the number of registered teams
- Teams will be inserted into the pools using the serpentine system and the CEV European Ranking
- The winner of each tournament will qualify to the 2nd Round
- The 2014 European Champion and the 2014 Vice-Champion are qualified to the 2nd Round.

2nd Round (competition dates: 14-17th May 2015)
- There will be 2 tournaments (containing 4 teams in each)
- The 2014 European Champion and the 2014 Vice-Champion will be split, 1 into each tournament
- 6 teams will qualify from the 1st Round
- Teams will be inserted into the two pools using the serpentine system and the CEV European Ranking

The winner of each 2nd Round tournament qualifies to the 2015 FIVB U21 Men World Championship.

In addition to these two continental slots, European teams have another chance of qualify through the FIVB World Ranking.

For this qualification the Official Regulations of the 2014 U20 CEV Volleyball European Championship - Men are used in 'mutatis mutandis'.  To access them please CLICK HERE.
