U18 Beach Volleyball European Championship as meeting point for Youth Coaches Workshop
2016 CEV U18 Beach Volleyball European Championship
Brno, Czech Republic, July 20, 2016. In the frame of the 2016 CEV U18 Beach Volleyball European Championship the European Beach Volleyball Commission (EBVC) together with thelocal Organising Committee and the Czech Volleyball Federation will co-host on August 13-14, 2016 a Beach Volleyball workshop for youth coaches in Brno.
The initiative is part of the activities planned within the 2013-2016 CEV Beach Volleyball Youth Development project and is aiming to involve those coaches working with athletes that are currently taking their first steps on the international stage.
The organisation of this workshop fits perfectly in the approach the new CEV leadership is putting in place ever since the elections held last October: putting the spotlight on the (future) stars while developing our sport.
The workshop is addressed to both attending coaches, i.e. those who are already on site for the U18 European Championship, and coaches from National Federations not participating in the Championships.
From August 11 to 14, the second largest city of the Czech Republic will host the 2016 CEV Beach Volleyball European Championship for the U18 age group. In Brno, 32 men’s and 32 women’s teams will compete with their peers for European gold.
During the final weekend, at the end of each competition day the EBVC together with the local Organising Committee and the Czech Volleyball Federation will organise a workshop that will focus on identifying and discussing the parameters to develop youth Beach Volleyball athletes and with it also the stars of tomorrow.
