Flash Intro
From July 20 through 24, 2016, Liechtenstein will play host to the European beach volleyball elite as they gather to compete in the 12th edition of the CEV Beach Volleyball Satellite Vaduz.
The matches will be held at Liechtenstein’s capital, with the iconic centre court right below the castle of Vaduz, home of the Prince of Liechtenstein, his Senere Highness Hans-Adam II and the princely family. Liechtenstein, a microstate in central Europe and the world’s 6th smallest country, is bordered by Switzerland and Austria. It has an area of just over 160 square kilometres (62 square miles) and a population of over 37,000. It is the last remaining constitutional monarchy in the German speaking area and has the rank of a principality. Liechtenstein, as an alpine country, is mainly mountainous, making it a winter sport destination. Nevertheless it also has a long history in hosting international beach volleyball competitions in its capital, Vaduz.
The entry to the matches is free, check the official website www.beachvolley.li for more information.
Liechtenstein is ready to host a high level competition and we are looking forward to welcoming the European Beach Volleyball family and its fans.
