Important Notes at the Challenging Times of COVID-19 Pandemic
The global COVID-19 outbreak has had a significant impact on Beach Volleyball
and the movement and travel restrictions imposed by governments have resulted
in the suspension of the World Tour Calendar.
With restrictions gradually relaxing in Europe the CEV, respective National
Federations and event organizers are working in delivering events in accordance
with the guidance of medical experts, government and public health authorities.
The health and safety of athletes, coaches, officials and fans remain the top
FIVB and CEV priority, and both parties are working on developing guidelines
for beach volleyball competition restart that will be shared to all interested
parties at a later stage.
Further to above, it is important for all participants to study the below
points carefully:
Travel Restrictions - updated on 07.09.2020 (constantly updated)
1. Entry without restrictions and without the need of self-isolation is
possible from Estonia, Finland, Latvia.
2. For all the teams/ official persons coming from EU countries affected
by COVID-19 (where COVID-19 infection reaches 16 cases per 100,000
population) self-isolation is mandatory until they get a permission to
leave self-isolation place. The countries, which fall under
COVID-affected countries list as well as the procedures entering the
country can be found in the following link: https://koronastop.lrv.lt/en/news/belarus-italy-slovenia-and-slovakia-added-to-the-list-of-coronavirus-affected-countries
3. To get a permission to leave self-isolation place, the person must fill the application form online: https://nvsc.lrv.lt/nvsc.lrv.lt/permit.
The form must be full-filled thoroughly in details to make a better
chance to get a positive approach towards the permission to leave the
self-isolation place (hotel of staying) in order to participate in the
tournament. While indicating the dates of leaving self-isolation
place, additionally add the date of leaving the country.
To be eligible for the permission each athlete must:
- Take the COVID -19 test no later than 72 hours before ENTERING the country.
- AS SOON AS the negative result is received, fill in the application
for the permission to leave self-isolation place attaching the COVID-19
test result. The link is : https://nvsc.lrv.lt/nvsc.lrv.lt/permit
- Inform the Local Organising committee by mail at komunikacija@ltf.lt that
the application form was submitted and instruct them in the same e-mail
about your arrival date/place of stay and departure date to accelerate
proceedings.
- Wait for the permission. The LOC takes no responsibility in case an
athlete decides to travel to Lithuania without having received the
permission by the respective National Authorities.
- In case of travelling to Lithuania after all the procedures are done,
but without the permission, the athlete/official may enter the country
(he/she should have COVID-test results) but is obliged to stay in
self-isolation until he/she receives the requested permission. Failure
to do so may lead to fines by the authorities.
3. Once again, the players should read carefully the conditions cross-border movement: https://urm.lt/default/en/important-covid19 / https://reopen.europa.eu .
Despite the efforts made by the Lithuanian Federation the currently
imposed regulations by the Lithuanian National Authorities forbid the
issuing of any permissions or invitations in advance, which would allow
to enter the country without self -isolation rules for those countries
where self-isolation is mandatory.
All teams and staff, coming from COVID-19 affected must apply the rules by found here: https://nvsc.lrv.lt/en/news/procedures-to-be-followed-upon-return-arrival-from-abroad-trebovaniia-pri-pribytii-iz-za-rubezha
