As an effort to appear on the international Beach Volleyball scene, Hungary organizes its first CEV Satellite tournament at Siófok in July.
Siófok lies by the shore of Lake Balaton, which is often called the 'Hungarian Sea', as it is the biggest lake of the Middle-European region with its 77 km length and average 7 km width. Siófok is the largest and most frequented holiday resort of the numerous cities sorrounding the lake. It is famous for its uniqe atmosphere, its crowded beaches just as for its busy nightlife. The city has a long history hosting national and international beach sport events.
The venue of the competition is Beach Arena, located on the most frequented Golden Beach. It was built in 2014. The arena's location, 1500 seats for spectators, and lighting makes it ideal for international events.
