General Information

37 National Federations have entered the 2014 CEV U19 Women Volleyball European Championship.

5 of these National Federations have entered into the Small Countries Division.

That leaves 32 National Federations in the 2014 CEV U19 Women Volleyball European Championship.

Finland and Estonia will organise the Final Round and are therefore directly qualified to it. For the first time the previous edition champions are not automatically qualified for the Final Round.

Small Countries Division
All 5 National Federations will play in one Final Round Tournament in San Marino, 1 week before Easter 2014.

1st Round
With there being 32 teams for this edition, only one 1st Round pool will be played with the 4 lowest ranked teams (according to the CEV U19 Women European Ranking List), where the 1st and 2nd placed teams will qualify to the 2nd Round.

2nd Round
28 teams will compete in seven 2nd Round tournaments consisting of 4 teams.  These will take place between 24th – 27th April 2014 (the last competition day must be on a Saturday or a Sunday).

The 1st placed teams of each pool (A-B-C-D-E-F) qualify directly for the Final Round.
The 2nd placed teams of each Pool (A-B-C-D-E-F-G) as well as the 3rd placed team with the best score among the 2nd Round Pools (A-B-C-D-E-F-G) will qualify for the 3rd Round.

Following Ukraine’s withdrawal from the competition, Pool B will feature only three teams. As a result, in order to determine the third placed team with the best score among the 2nd Round Pools, the result of all the matches played with the last placed team won’t be taken into account in pools with four participants. This means an updated final standing will be calculated accordingly so that the comparison among all third placed teams will be done counting the same number of matches.

3rd Round

The 3rd Round will consist of 2 tournaments (H-I) of 4 teams and shall take place between 10th – 13th July 2014 (the last competition day must be on a Saturday or a Sunday).

The 1st placed teams of each Pool (H-I) as well as the 2nd placed team with the best score among the 3rd Round Pools (H-I) will qualify for the Final Round.

FINAL Round
The Final Round will be co-hosted by Estonia and Finland through August 16-24, 2014 with 12 teams set to battle for glory in the cities of Tartu and Tampere.
