Successful Kids Day sets tone for final Snow Volleyball event of the year
CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour 2019

St. Anton, Austria, April 12, 2019. As many as of 42 pupils from the primary school of St. Anton travelled to the top of the Rendlbahn to join a Kids Day, right at the very same venue where the last stop of the CEV Snow Volleyball European 2019 will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday. The rather foggy weather made it an even more interesting experience for the kids.

Julia Krieglsteiner from Team Austria delivered an intensive training session. Julia will also play the tournament in St. Anton and she was happy to get to experience the snow conditions on site. She played her first Snow Volleyball tournaments two years ago in Wagrain-Kleinarl and Plan de Corones / Kronplatz. Due to a cruciate ligament rupture, she had to take a break last year - but now she is back again. Julia likes the idea of helping the children discover this new sport on the snow and she was happy to offer her help for the organisation of the Kids Day.

The second trainer was Simon Varges (pictured above), who is a good Volleyball player himself. Simon already did the Kids Day at the World Tour events held in Austria and Italy earlier this month. For the last four weeks, he worked for the Snow Volleyball tournaments organised by Chaka2 as part of the set-up crew.

The kids spent two hours on the snowy courts. “Our kids really like the cold and snowy conditions. For them it is no problem to stay outside,” said the school’s principal, Annelies Keim.
