Former ‘Queens of the Snow’ headline Erciyes entries
CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour 2019 - Erciyes

Luxembourg, December 29, 2018. Two former ‘Queens of the Snow’ and two silver medal winners from the season opener in Moscow headline the entries for the second stop of this year’s Snow Volleyball European Tour due to take place in Erciyes, Turkey from January 11 to 13, 2019. The event will feature 13 teams from seven countries, with Kosovo making their historic debut in an international Snow Volleyball competition. TV channel TRT will broadcast the men’s and women’s gold medal matches nationwide, with EuroVolleyTV streaming the games as well for fans from across the globe to enjoy further Snow Volleyball action!

Michaela Knoblochova (pictured above) and Silvia Poszmikova of Czech Republic and Slovakia are among the most experienced Snow Volleyball players and both former ‘Queens of the Snow’. Knoblochova will be missing her regular partner Anna Dostalova in Turkey and team up with Diana Zolnercikova and Ludmila Lojkova for the tournament. Poszmikova, on the other hand, will lead a Slovakian charge including her regular teammate Romana Jurenkova and Jana Zyani Rusnakova.

Elizaveta Terenteva and Elizaveta Novikova of Russia are two fourths of the team that won silver in Moscow earlier this month. With Olga Filina and Anna Romashova not bound to travel to Turkey, they will be chasing further glory together with Uliana Lapteva and Anastasia Pavlova.

Two of the four Russian ladies who won silver in Moscow will return to the court in Erciyes.

Another Russian team will be among the medal contenders, with the quartet of Olga Motrich, Ekaterina Syrtseva, Ksenia Khakimzyanova and Evgeniya Volodarskaya likely to put up a fight for the top honours.

Italy will compete in Erciyes as well, with the winners from last year’s tour stop in Roccaraso, Tania Ferrazzo and Cristiana Parenzan, and their partners Federica Tonon and Carlotta Cervella hoping to improve on their ninth place from the Moscow event.

Kosovo will be making their historic Snow Volleyball debut with a team comprising of Vildane Jashari, Dhurate Sylejmani and Gresa Raci making history for the Balkan country.
