Snow Volleyball European Tour draft calendar now released!
2018 CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour

Luxembourg, November 20, 2017. The 2018 edition of the CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour will begin in January before reaching its climax in late March with the first-ever Snow Volleyball European Championship due to take place in Wagrain-Kleinarl and Flachau, Austria from March 23 to 25. The CEV are currently working closely with a number of National Federations and promoters in order to add more events to those already confirmed and as a result, further updates will follow in due course.

The third edition of the CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour will start on January 12-14 with an event at Erciyes, Turkey – where the European Tour will return for the second straight year after the successful premiere in 2017. The venue in Kayseri Province will welcome Snow Volleyball players for a second time as the Turkish Volleyball Federation are cooperating with the local authorities in order to grow Snow Volleyball and raise its popularity.

Turkey will be hosting a second stop of the European Tour in early March (1-4) at Uludag, with the mountain in Bursa Province welcoming a continental event for the second consecutive year as well.

Sandwiched between the two tournaments on Turkish snow is the event in Roccaraso, Italy – due to take place from February 16 to 18. The town in central Italy is an extremely popular ski resort, which has played host to numerous competitions in a number of winter sports, including the 2012 edition of the World Junior Alpine Skiing World Championships.

The CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour will return to Kranjska Gora, Slovenia and Kronplatz / Plan de Corones, Italy where another two tournaments are due to take place on the second and third weekend of March respectively, before Europe’s Snow Volleyball elite convenes in Austria for the first-ever European Championships.

As per the qualification criteria announced a while ago (click here), the winners of the European Tour events will qualify directly for the 2018 European Championships. If the winners of such a tournament have already qualified through a previous stop of the European Tour or their respective national championship, the runners-up will secure their ticket to the continental showpiece event.

The 2018 European Tour is the third one officially sanctioned by the CEV after the successful premiere in 2016 and the 2017 edition. Snow Volleyball is growing at a fast pace, with players and fans alike interested in knowing more about this fresh, cool and energetic game, which is taking Volleyball to some truly iconic locations across a number of ski resorts and countries.
