Kronplatz / Plan de Corones, Italy, April 7, 2017. Another cheerful Snow Volleyball Kids Day took place at a 2017 CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour stop. About 85 kids defied the freezing wind on top of the breath-taking Italian Alps in Kronplatz / Plan de Corones to make their first encounter with the exciting new sport and spend a day of fun on the snow.
The children, aged 8 to 13, from three schools in the region, made their first steps in Snow Volleyball and fell in love with the game. For many of them it was the first encounter with Volleyball of any kind and they totally enjoyed it. Under the watchful eyes of professional instructors, the kids showed a lot of enthusiasm learning the basics of Snow Volleyball on the very same courts where the professional tournament will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
“I like playing together with my friends. I like the snow and I like the ball, so I think I will play Snow Volleyball again,” said 10-year-old Hanna from Reischach.
“It is very nice here in Kronplatz and it is a lot of fun,” 13-year-old Luca from Olang / Valdaora added. “I like playing Volleyball. I have played it before, but this is the first time I play Snow Volleyball. It is not very different. But I like to be outside on the snow playing with my friends.” Luca was also certain he will come back to play Snow Volleyball again.
The tradition was maintained and all the children who took part in the Snow Volleyball Kids Day received certificates to go with the unforgettable memories of their first encounter with the game.
