Vojvodina claim 5th Serbian national league title in a row

Belgrade, Serbia, April 14, 2021. Vojvodina NS Seme NOVI SAD are the winners of the Banka Poštanska Štedionica Superleague 2020/2021. In the fourth match of the final playoff series held at the Master sports hall in Belgrade, Vojvodina NS Seme defeated home side Partizan Soccer 3-2 (22-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-17, 16-14) after 128 minutes of action, thus securing their 18th championship title – and fifth in a row.
Zoran Gajić, President of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, presented Stevan Simić, team captain of Vojvodina NS Seme, with the trophy designed for the winners of the Serbian national league 2020/2021.
Gyula Mester, First Vice-President of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, and Dragoljub Zbiljić, President of Vojvodina NS Seme, had the honour of awarding the players of Vojvodina NS Seme with the gold medals.
Ivan Knežević, Secretary General of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, handed over the consolation trophy for the playoff finalists to Bojan Janić, team captain of Partizan Soccer.
Petar Bogunović, Vice-President of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia and President of the Regional Volleyball Association of Vojvodina, and Željko Tanasković, Director of VC Partizan Soccer, handed over the silver medals to the players of Partizan Soccer.
Vojvodina represented Serbia in this year’s European Cups, losing to eventual gold medallists Dinamo MOSCOW in the 8th Finals of the CEV Cup after contesting a first-round pool of the elite CEV Champions League won by TRENTINO Itas – who are due to feature in the upcoming Super Finals in Verona.
