VFA delivers another Volleyball masterclass to inspire kids to play the game
News from the National Federations
Yerevan, Armenia, April 14, 2021. The Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA) continues to work hard to grow the game across the Caucasus nation and recently delivered yet another School Volleyball Festival, this time at the primary school no. 166 named after Artem Mikoyan in the country’s capital, Yerevan.
The programme included a Volleyball masterclass involving young pupils from the seventh grade, attended by physical education teachers as well as by the school principal, Ms Margarita Kushkyan, and local Volleyball coach Avag Nikoghosyan, who works not only with the school team, but also with the Armenian youth national teams.
The young students tried their best to perform all of the exercises and activities prepared by the VFA representatives specifically for this masterclass. The VFA crew as well as Mr Nikoghosyan answered questions from the students as well, with the young attendees expressing their satisfaction with the organisation of such an event at their school. The school principal, Ms Kushkyan, tried to play Volleyball herself.
The school received sports equipment provided by the VFA and CEV – which will be extremely precious in order to make sure that the kids continue to play Volleyball during their physical education classes after enjoying their first experience with the game.
