Luxembourg, April 11, 2021. Estonia will be one of the four
host countries for this year’s EuroVolley Men event, alongside Poland, Finland
and Czech Republic later this summer and two of the biggest names from the
Estonian national team have been chosen to be part of the Ambassadors
Programme.
The Ambassadors Programme brings
together two fantastic players from each of the four host countries per gender.
In the coming months leading up to the start of the events, the eight
Ambassadors will be actively engaging with fans across all CEV platforms and
beyond, taking everyone along on the EuroVolley 2021 journey via exclusive
content especially designed to give fans a sneak peek into their own experiences.
Over the next days we will
continue to gradually announce the Ambassadors from each host country, and
after announcing the Ambassadors from Finland and Romania, time has come to
reveal the Ambassadors from Estonia: Robert Täht and Renee Teppan.
Renee Teppan: “I´m really excited
to play at home in front of our great fans. It´s a big challenge for the whole
country to have the EuroVolley2021 tournament in Tallinn – never before has this
happened for any other big sports in Estonia.”
As many other Estonian top
players, Renee started playing more serious when attending Audentes Sports
Gymnasium in Tallinn where he became best friends with Robert Täht. His first
professional club was near his home in Pärnu VC (2010-2012), after that he moved
to Bigbank Tartu and stayed there until 2014. Together with Täht, they led
Bigbank to many titles.

Robert Täht: “I´m always willing
to take an extra step for the team and for the country. EuroVolley is a huge
opportunity for the country and Team Estonia.”
Täht made his debut with the Estonian
national team in 2013 and became a true leader and face of the team in some
years. Today Täht is one the faces of Estonian volleyball and one of the most
successful Estonian players in Europe´s top leagues. Ex Estonian national team
head coach Gheorghe Crețu has played an enormous role in Täht´s career both in
the national team and club career. Crețu was also the head coach of Cuprum Lubin
when Täht signed with them. Täht has won several Player of the Year awards in
Estonia.
