News from the National Federations
Yerevan, Armenia, March 31, 2021. The Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA) organised this past Saturday another two School Festivals to promote the Volleyball game among children of the Caucasus country. This time, the events took place at the school no. 12 named after Hakob Paronyan and at the school no. 4 named after A. Mravyan, with 25 participants aged 11-13.
The VFA representatives (Ofelya Matosyan, Svetlana Margaryan, Syuzanna Khachatryan, who are all accomplished Volleyball players) presented the programme to the young students, and afterwards they introduced the rules of the game and shared some basic skills as well.
The children involved in the festival showed great pleasure and enthusiasm as well as much interest in the Volleyball game, working hard to execute all drills as correctly as they could.
At the end of the festival, the two schools received sports equipment such as net and balls offered by the VFA and CEV to make sure that Volleyball classes continue to take place and the local pupils can slowly but surely develop their skills.
