Luxembourg, February 18, 2021. The Italians from Trentino Itas
have started their CEV Champions League Volley journey early this season
managing to get through the 1st Round all the way to the
quarterfinals of the competition in an emphatic manner and a consistency that
can only impress the neutral volleyball fan.
Some might say that their near
perfect record has gone a little under the radar given the drama that the other
pools from the 4th Round provided, however the performances from
their top players have not gone unnoticed.

Srećko Lisinac is the Top
Performer of Pool E – Tournament 2
With Dutch star Nimir Abdel-Aziz having
arguably the best individual season we have seen in a very long time, it could
be easy to overlook some of his teammates that are contributing greatly to
Trentino’s impressive run in the competition. Such is the case with Serbia’s
Srecko Lisinac, with the middle blocker displaying great numbers over the second
tournament that took place in Friedrichshafen.
The 28-year old Lisinac
has enjoyed success for both club and country, managing to win several national
titles across strong leagues in Europe and the much coveted gold at EuroVolley
2019.
Lisinac and Trentino will now
face Berlin Recycling Volleys in the quarterfinals of Europe’s premiere club
competition, after the Germans narrowly claimed a place in Europe’s top 8.
