FPV President to join online debate on present and future of sport in pandemic times

Porto, Portugal, January 19, 2021. Vicente Araújo, President of the Portuguese Volleyball Federation (FPV), will be one of the speakers in the next ‘episode’ of the “Matosinhos à Conversa” webinar series, broadcasted live on Facebook by the Matosinhos municipality and Matosinhos Sport this coming Thursday, January 21, at 9 pm local time.
With sport as the main item up for discussion, this initiative features João Paulo Rebelo, Secretary of State for Youth and Sports, Luísa Salgueiro, Mayor of Matosinhos, José Couceiro, member of the Portuguese Football Federation Directorate, Manuel Fernandes, President of the Portuguese Basketball Federation, and Miguel Laranjeiro, President of the Portuguese Handball Federation. The journalist and Sport TV’s coordinator in Porto, Rui Orlando will be hosting the debate.
According to the organisers, “at a time when the coronavirus crisis has resulted in stopping all activity again, and there has been almost no competition for about ten months, sport in a pandemic time and its main problems, as well as what future we can expect in the short / medium term for this area will be some of the topics covered.”
