Luxembourg, December 23, 2020. A self-proclaimed massive fan of cartoons, as discussed in CEV's "Unscripted" series earlier in the year, A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano's superstar opposite, Paola Egonu, was given the opportunity to fulfil one of her dreams as she is now voicing "Sognaluna" in the Italian version of the much anticipated Disney/Pixar animation "Soul", set for release this Christmas on Disney+.
"Soul" is the story of "a musician who has lost his passion for music and is transported out of his body and must find his way back with the help of an infant" and is directed by Pete Docter and Kemp Powers.
Paola Egonu: "Music has a very important role in my life. I listen to music all the time, from the moment I wake up, before a game, inside the car, it is always present.
I knew that volleyball was my passion when I was organising everything else around volleyball practice. Up to this day this has remained the same.
Having a mentor is very important, someone who guides you and supports you with the important decisions, and that makes you not feel alone. I have had mentors and I keep having someone, they are my parents and I am very grateful because they are always by my side, even if they cannot physically be there."
