Ziraat Bankasi ANKARA work closely with fans to promote social responsibility projects
News from the clubs

Ankara, Turkey, December 10, 2020. Just as many other clubs across Europe, Ziraat Bankasi ANKARA currently have to play their home matches without any fans in strict compliance with the measures in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Despite the challenges brought by the health crisis, Ziraat Bankasi, who are due to host a men’s Challenge Cup ‘bubble’ in early February, have continued to sponsor and support a number of social responsibility projects.

Summit Forest…
The fans of Ziraat Bankasi have their own nickname – ‘Zirve’, which means ‘summit’ in Turkish. Ziraat Bankasi and the Zirve Fan Group have joined forces for a project run under the slogan ‘Summit forest’, aiming at planting as many as 4,000 saplings in three different cities across Turkey. After completion of the first stage of the project, they are planning to extend it to even more cities in Turkey.

Ziraat’s Little Fans - Digital Painting Exhibition
The club has asked the youngest fans to answer the question ‘What is Ziraat?’ and the kids have responded by producing some nice drawings. As many as 160 children have attended the exhibition displaying the creative artworks of kids from the young age of three. Moreover, the club has produced a digital gallery to display all of the drawings received.

‘Share the Scarf’
Thousands of fans of Ziraat Bankasi have taken to social media by sharing photographs with their scarves and the official #zirvetaraftargrubu hashtag – doing so from many countries across the world.

Ziraat’s Little Fans Ceremony Project
Before the matches, Ziraat’s little fans give pennants to the opponent team and their own team’s athletes in order to keep the spirit of fair play at the highest level. The project has already involved as many as 250 children, but is currently on hold because of the pandemic.

Song Contest
The club has organised a song contest, and the winners have been able to play their songs during the home matches of Ziraat. This project is due to resume once the pandemic is under control.

You can follow all of these actions on the official Instagram account of the Turkish club at https://www.instagram.com/ziraatvolley.
