Knack ROESELARE join campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer
News from the clubs
Roeselare, Belgium, November 22, 2020. Knack ROESELARE, who are due to represent Belgium in the upcoming pool stage of the elite CEV Champions League Volley 2021, recently placed thousands of little pink ducks on the stands of Tomabelhal arena before their national league matchup with Tectum ACHEL in an action to raise people’s awareness about breast cancer.
Due to the restrictions in place to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, fans are still unable to attend sporting competitions in Belgium. Waiting for their supporters to return hopefully soon, Knack ROESELARE decided to use this opportunity to advocate for a good cause. The representatives of the so-called “PINK DUCK RACE” could fill in the stands with little pink ducks to draw attention to the disease.
Fans can ‘adopt’ one or more pink ducks and support this action. With a little contribution, Knack ROESELARE and their partners will be able to continue to promote such breast cancer campaigns.
This first edition of the European Pink Duck Race will be taking place at a secret location. You will be able to see follow the live streaming on the Think Pink Europe Facebook and YouTube page on Sunday, December 13, starting at 5 pm. Your support is vital. With your help, people with breast cancer will be able to benefit from the best possible treatment and care!
