Youngsters enjoy school Volleyball competition in Minsk

Minsk, Belarus, September 30, 2020. The sports complex run by the Minsk Volleyball club played host this past week to a Volleyball competition involving young boys and girls born in 2009 and teams representing the so-called SDYUSHOR (i.e. Sports Children’s and Youth Schools Olympic Reserve). This action is part of the activities organised in the Republic of Belarus to promote Volleyball at the grassroots level – in line with the goals of the CEV’s School Project.
All young players involved in the event showed a good performance, much fighting spirit and the right approach to the game as well. At the end of the matches contested on September 23 and 24, the final standing for the boys’ competition read as follows:
1. Team of coach Polina Chesnovitskaya
2. Team of coach Vasily Balabeshko
3. Team of coaches Artur Selyavko and Tatiana Babok
4. Team of coaches Olga Ravdanovich and Larisa Satsukevich
The girls’ competition followed next on September 28 and 29, with the final standing reading as follows:
1. Team of coach Polina Yudintseva
2. Team of coach Inna Reut
3. Team of coach Oksana Badenko
4. Team of coach Margarita Gurina
The winners received medals – and the best players of the youth competition returned home with some special souvenirs and prize to cherish the experience even further.
