Arkas claim first trophy of 2020-2021 season

Izmir, Turkey, August 27, 2020. On Wednesday, Arkas IZMIR defeated Altekma 3-0 to claim the sixth edition of the TSYD Izmir Volleyball Tournament. The hosts playing at Vestel Venus Atatürk Volleyball Complex secured a comprehensive 25-18, 25-22 and 25-20 victory.
After the match, TSYD Izmir Branch President Bahri Okumuş presented the trophy for the winners of the competition to the captain of Arkas, middle blocker Mustafa Koç.
Arkas IZMIR is one of two Turkish teams – together with Fenerbahce HDI Sigorta ISTANBUL – due to contest the pool stage of the men’s CEV Champions League Volley 2021. Arkas will be playing in Pool B together with 2019 gold medal winners Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA of Italy, France’s TOURS VB and another Italian standout in Sir Sicoma Monini PERUGIA.
