6,000+ join Fan Vote Award in Slovakia in call for optimism

Bratislava, Slovakia, April 14, 2020. While staying at home to help fight against the coronavirus pandemic, more than 6,000 Slovakian fans joined the Fan Vote Award via the social networks run by the Slovak Volleyball Federation. The eventual winners are players who represented Slovakia at EuroVolley 2019 - opposite Filip Gavenda (CV TERUEL) and libero Michaela Španková (Volley project UKF NITRA) for men and women, respectively.
In addition, outside hitters Nikola Radosová (DRESDNER SC), Mária Kostelanská (Vasas Óbuda BUDAPEST), Tomáš Kriško (VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN) and opposite Peter Michalovič (NANTES Rezé Métropole), all members of the Slovakian national teams as well, finished among the best in a very tight competition.

Both winners thanked the fans for their support and added a message regarding the current situation. “I would like to wish you all good health which is the most important these days. Let’s all try to draw positive energy and new ideas to handle everything that might come,” said libero Španková.
“Take care of each other and I believe that we will soon meet again at some Volleyball matches,” added Gavenda, a former player of Top Volley LATINA, Powervolley MILANO and Netzhoppers KW.
