Mr Niclas Joensen honoured for his hard work
News from the National Federations
Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, February 25, 2020. Right after the presentation of two new Faroese stamps with Volleyball motives (click here for further info), CEV President Aleksandar Boričić called Mr Niclas Joensen on to the stage to present him with a special recognition from CEV.
Mr Joensen has been at the heart of Faroese Volleyball right from the beginning and until now. The Association was founded in 1980, and Niclas was elected to the board in 1982 and has been instrumental to all the development experienced by the sport in the North Atlantic archipelago ever since.
President Boričić highlighted the importance of people like Niclas Joensen to grow our sport, through their total dedication, never standing in the foreground, but always present in the backstage, arranging and developing Volleyball in the Faroe Islands, hopefully for many more years to come.
