SCHWERIN set sights on #CEVCupW quarterfinals
CEV Volleyball Cup 2020 - Women
Schwerin, Germany, February 5, 2020. Germany’s national cup titleholders, SSC Palmberg SCHWERIN, can move on straight to the quarterfinals of the CEV Cup in front of their home crowd if they claim at least two sets from their re-match with HÄMEENLINNA of Finland.
When playing away some two weeks ago, interim head coach Martin Watne Frydnes changed his starting six and some players who do not feature that regularly were able to show their skills. The Finns, on the other hand, have nothing to lose, so this rematch is going to be an exciting game. To reach their seasonal goals, SCHWERIN signed an agreement with German rising Volleyball star, opposite spiker Louisa Lippmann.
After Nicole Oude Luttikhuis scored six aces in Finland for SCHWERIN, this is going to be one of the key facts in the re-match. The German hosts have to focus on their good reception so the setter is able to use as many spikers as possible. Playing in front of their home crowd at Palmberg Arena might have a positive impact on Schwerin as well.
