Rising star Jordan Thompson makes pro debut with Fenerbahce Opet

Istanbul, Turkey, January 18, 2020. USA’s rising star and opposite hitter Jordan Thompson just made her debut in the world of professional Volleyball after she recently joined the ranks of Turkish heavyweight Fenerbahce Opet ISTANBUL. Thompson wore the shirt of the ‘Yellow Angels’ for the first time in the opening match of the second half of the Turkish League as Fenerbahce Opet beat THY ISTANBUL 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-14) at TVF Burhan Felek Volleyball Hall in Istanbul.
The American player joined Turkish giant Fenerbahce Opet last week and the Yellow Angels secured their first victory of the year 2020 as Thompson set the pace for her side with 14 points. Thompson will be making her CEV Champions League Volley debut this coming Wednesday when Fenerbahce Opet travel to Poland for the ‘Match of the Week’ against Budowlani LODZ.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Thompson was a member of the USA national team that secured the gold medal in the 2019 edition of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League – whose finals took place in Nanjing, China.
