Pénzügyőr BUDAPEST storm to comprehensive home victory in #CEVChallengeCupM
CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup 2020 - Men
Budapest, Hungary, December 11, 2019. On Tuesday night, Pénzügyőr BUDAPEST started their journey in the CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – Men with a comprehensive 3-0 victory (25-19, 25-23, 25-15) over Omonia NICOSIA of Cyprus.
It was a great night for the 350 fans in attendance, who enjoyed a very good performance from the home side. Actually, Omonia caught a promising start to the match, but Pénzügyőr could respond back swiftly and they eventually set the tempo of the game until the end of the first set. The second set was a close fight, before the third produced an easy win for Pénzügyőr. The hosts can now confidently look forward to the re-match, which will be taking place in Budapest as well – on Wednesday night already.
