Knack ROESELARE look forward to 18th #CLVolleyM appearance

Roeselare, Belgium, December 1, 2019. Knack ROESELARE are about to start their 18th campaign in the elite CEV Champions League Volley. On Wednesday, December 4, when playing Germany’s VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN in the ‘Match of the Week’, Knack will contest their 222nd match in the European Cups – and 131st in the CEV Champions League alone.
The Belgian club organised a special press conference this past Thursday at the premises of Volvo Cars Automobilia in Roeselare to introduce their participation in Europe’s elite club competition. At the end of the event, the players and members of the technical staff received the keys of their own Volvo XC40 car.
Organising Director Guido Declercq reviewed the competition format and shared much information about the other teams drawn into Pool E – next to VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN the Belgians are due to play the reigning national champions of Poland and Serbia, i.e. Zaksa KEDZIERZYN-KOZLE and Vojvodina NS Seme NOVI SAD. The young coach of Knack, Steven Vanmedegael, who is spending his second season at the helm of the team after previously assisting Emile Rousseaux, discussed his team’s chances in the competition.
Apart from all players and the coaching staff, members of the Board of Directors as well as the management of Knack ROESELARE attended the conference together with many journalists from regional and national newspapers as well as a crew of Focus WTV.
