TRENTINO set to make ninth #CLVolleyM appearance

Trento, Italy, April 30, 2019. Reigning world champions and CEV Cup titleholders TRENTINO Itas will return to the CEV Champions League Volley in the 2019/2020 season. The three-time winners of Europe’s elite competition will compose the Italian contingent together with Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA and Sir Colussi Sicoma PERUGIA, who are now due to play for the national championship title.
The participation in the 2020 CEV Champions League became reality after PERUGIA edged Azimut Leo Shoes MODENA in the semis of the Italian league. As a result, the three spots for Italy in the next edition go to the eventual finalists of the Superlega – Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA and Sir Colussi Sicoma PERUGIA – and the best team from the regular season not already qualified, i.e. TRENTINO Itas.
This will be the ninth appearance for TRENTINO in the CEV Champions League. They have three consecutive titles to their name (2009, 2010, 2011), plus bronze from the 2012 edition and silver they won in 2016 in Krakow.
