Gibraltar Volleyball Association pleased with Liechtenstein experience
News from the National Federations
Gibraltar, March 15, 2019. The Gibraltar Volleyball Association is extremely grateful for the invitation they received from the Liechtenstein Volleyball Federation to play a series of friendly matches last week, as Liechtenstein prepare for this year’s Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE) due to take place in late May in Montenegro.
“It was a great opportunity for the Gibraltar Volleyball Association to compete against a team of higher level in order to continue the ongoing development of its national team and the sport on the whole,” said Emma Labrador, President of the Gibraltar Volleyball Association (GVA) and member of the national team as well. “We very much look forward to continue working with Liechtenstein and other counties in the future and to continue developing the sport in Gibraltar.”
“Finally, our partnership with Sideout and our investment in them is evidence of the GVA’s dedication to the development of Volleyball in Gibraltar,” she concluded.
Gibraltar will be hosting later this year the 2019 edition of the NatWest Island Games, with Beach Volleyball featuring prominently on the programme of the multi-sports event.
