Butterflies from Italy expect tough test with ASPTT MULHOUSE VB
2019 CEV Volleyball Cup - Women
Busto Arsizio, Italy, February 5, 2019. After ending their journey in the semis of the Italian national cup, Yamamay e-work BUSTO ARSIZIO will try to get back on track on Wednesday when hosting France’s ASPTT MULHOUSE VB in the first round of the CEV Cup quarterfinals at Palayamamay. The roster of the French team features two former players of Yamamay, i.e. the English middle blocker Ciara Michel and Anastasia Guerra, who joined MULHOUSE after playing for Pomi CASALMAGGIORE in Italy and a Chinese team in Shanghai.
The ‘Butterflies’ from BUSTO ARSIZIO will be missing Martina Samadan for this fixture since the Croatian player wore the shirt of Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO earlier this season in the European Cups. Britt Herbots, currently playing for Yamamay, spent the last season in Mulhouse, so this will be a special match for the Belgian rising star: “I obviously want to win this special match for me, even though I know that MULHOUSE have a strong team and this will be a difficult game. We are nevertheless ready to fight and I cannot wait to take to the court,” Herbots said.
ASPTT MULHOUSE VB should opt for a starting six featuring American setter Raymariely Santos Perez and opposite Carli Snyder, middle blockers Michel and Olga Trach, outside hitters Guerra and Alexandra Frantti plus libero Léa Soldner, the only Frenchwoman in their line-up.
