Olympiacos cap fabulous season with Greek national league title

Athens, Greece, May 2, 2018. Olympiacos PIRAEUS claimed on Monday their sixth straight title in the Greek women’s national league, thus capping a perfect season as the ‘Reds’ had previously won the Greek national cup and the CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup as well. This means Olympiacos have emerged victorious from all three competitions they contested across the 2017-2018 season.
Their opposite hitter Saskia Hippe received the award for the Most Valuable Player of the Greek national league. “It has been an amazing year. I am very happy that we eventually won all the titles we have been fighting for this year. I cannot describe how we felt this year. Our fans were amazing and we thank them very much for supporting us and the club,” Hippe said.
