Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA want to capitalise on away win over Skra
2017 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men
Civitanova Marche, Italy, March 20, 2017. Italy’s Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA beat PGE Skra BELCHATOW in four sets last week in the first round of action for the Playoffs 12 of the 2017 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Men and hence look confidently forward to the return game that is coming up on Wednesday night, March 22, at Eurosuole Forum.
The team coached by Gianlorenzo Blengini last Sunday claimed their 19th consecutive home win in the Italian Superleague by defeating Azimut MODENA in the first round of the semi-finals (3-2), and they have now turned their sights again on the next chapter of their European campaign.
“The results we have claimed lately confirm we are in good shape,” says CIVITANOVA’s star player Osmany Juantorena. “We did very well in the first match in Poland and now we must finish our job properly by scoring a home win in front of our fans, and I hope they will give us the right boost of energy. PGE Skra BELCHATOW have a very strong team, as they have a roster full of champions. This means that we have to fight again from the first to the last second on Wednesday, in order to avoid the golden set. We really want to make it to the Playoffs 6 and we will play with everything we have in order to achieve this goal, which is very important for our club.”
