Galatasaray hope to use home-court advantage to get closer to CEV Cup quarterfinals
2017 CEV Volleyball Cup - Women
Istanbul, Turkey, February 6, 2017. After easily sweeping aside Switzerland’s VFM FRANCHES-MONTAGNES in the 16th Finals, Turkey’s Galatasaray ISTANBUL are now set to play Slovenia’s Nova KBM Branik MARIBOR for a spot in the quarterfinals of the 2017 CEV Volleyball Cup – Women.
The team manager of the Turkish team, Mehmet Berent Bayrakci commented ahead of the home match coming up on Tuesday: “The level and quality of the competitors in each of the European Cups increases with every season. This is something you can see as you move from stage to stage of the European Cups. As Galatasaray, we are fully aware that there are no easy matches in any of the competitions we take part in. This is how we made it to the finals of the CEV Cup before; by taking to the court with the highest desire to win and the excitement resulting from being part of a Volleyball family. We will be trying to get an advantage in our efforts to make it to the round, which means that our goal is a victory in straight sets.”
