Galatasaray two sets away from spot in next round of Challenge Cup

Istanbul, Turkey, December 7, 2016. Galatasaray HDI ISTANBUL and Pafiakos PAFOS will be playing each other again on Thursday for the 16th Finals of the 2017 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – Men. On Tuesday night Galatasaray claimed the first matchup by 3-1 and the second one is set to follow on Thursday, once more at Burhan Felek Volleyball Hall in Istanbul, starting at 6 p.m. local time.
Pafiakos PAFOS caused a surprise last night when claiming the first set by 25-20 and as a result, it became pretty clear that the Cypriot team is not going to give in easily. Even though Galatasaray HDI ISTANBUL holds an important advantage, and they need to win ‘only’ two sets to move to the next round of the competition, there is a huge probability that this mission will not be as easy as expected.
Galatasaray HDI ISTANBUL are nevertheless determined to first secure the two sets that will guarantee their progression to the next round and after that will be trying to celebrate a home victory as well.
