Rookies Dobrudja 07 hope to use home-court advantage to make up for away loss
2017 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Men

Dobrich, Bulgaria, November 7, 2016. On Tuesday night Bulgaria’s national champions Dobrudja 07 DOBRICH will be playing their very first home match in Europe’s elite club competition when hosting Abiant Lycurgus GRONINGEN of the Netherlands. The Dutch celebrated a 3-0 victory last Wednesday at home, and even though they have to fight their way back to stay alive in the 2017 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Men, the Bulgarians are waiting for the re-match with a lot of excitement and anticipation.

“We welcome our guests from the Netherlands who arrived yesterday already and earlier today had their first training in Varna,” the chairman of Dobrudja 07, Galin Gospodinov said. “I do wish the best of success to the young Volleyball players of our team. I am going to support them and I expect to witness a high-quality Volleyball match on Tuesday.”

The coach of Dobrudja 07, Miroslav Zhivkov, added: “I am honoured to welcome the team of Abiant Lycurgus. I expect a good match to be played at a high level. Let the best team win in the end!”

Zhulien Georgiev, opposite of the Bulgarian team, added: “I really expect a great Volleyball match! We have been preparing very well from a tactical standpoint and I expect the team showing more patience to come out on top in the end.”
