Ice hockey arena turned into Volleyball hall for Finnish Tigers’ historic CL home debut

Kokkola, Finland, November 5, 2016. Tens of volunteers helped Finland’s champions Tiikerit KOKKOLA turn Kokkola Ice Hockey Arena into a Volleyball venue. It’s for Sunday’s match between Tiikerit KOKKOLA and Stroitel MINSK which is scheduled for the second round of the 2017 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Men. The first game contested on Wednesday in the Belarusian capital ended in a 3-1 victory for Stroitel.
After so much work, the volunteers expect an interesting game and hope for Tiikerit to win and reach the golden set to advance to the third round, as does the audience. The ice hockey arena is ‘warming up’ for what is Tiikerit’s historic home debut in Europe’s elite club competition.
