KASTELA secure fifth straight title in Croatia men’s national league

Zagreb, Croatia, May 10, 2016. Mladost Marina KASTELA just claimed their fifth straight title in Croatia men’s national league after a compelling 3-0 away win (25-16, 25-20, 25-10) in the fourth round of the championship series with arch-rivals Mladost ZAGREB. This means that the final series came to an end with KASTELA edging ZAGREB by three wins to one.
As they were only one victory away from finishing the championship series, Mladost Marina KASTELA delivered what was probably their best performance since the beginning of the season. Their dominance was just ocular and Mladost ZAGREB did never really find their way into the match or pose a threat to their opponent.
“I would like to congratulate my players for showing so much courage in what was the most delicate match of the entire season,” Mladost Marina KASTELA coach Ivan Rancic said afterwards. “They played a perfect match, their best one this season.”
