Facts and figures of TRENTINO’s glorious CL campaign
2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League - Men

Trento, Italy, April 21, 2016. On Sunday Italy’s TRENTINO Diatec completed their seventh campaign in the CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Men by settling for the silver medal, their best result since they swept the title for three years in a row from 2009 to 2011. TRENTINO were close to upsetting Russia’s Zenit KAZAN but could not capitalise on a 2-0 lead and eventually lost at the tie-break a dramatic gold medal match before a record-breaking crowd at TAURON Arena in Krakow.

A number of statistics have been pulled together by the Press Office of TRENTINO Volley, thereby summing up what the men coached by Radostin Stoytchev did along the way to the silver medal they claimed in Poland’s second largest city.

Three players of TRENTINO Diatec were included in the Dream Team of the Final Four tournament (click here for the video): second best outside spiker Tine Urnaut, best setter Simone Giannelli and second best middle blocker Sebastian Solé.
