On Tuesday night 2015 silver medallists Asseco Resovia RZESZOW of Poland completed their clean run in Pool G of the 2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Men with a sixth straight win, this time edging hosts #Dragons LUGANO in three sets (25-23, 25-17, 25-18) to further cement their first place in the group. Though LUGANO lost the match, they nevertheless could celebrate a historic result, as they will now move on to the Challenge Round of the CEV Volleyball Cup.

“The qualification for the Challenge Round of the CEV Volleyball Cup is an amazing result. The management of the club would like to thank and congratulate the coaching staff and the players on this historic feat,” said General Manager Cristiano Zatta. “Our goal at the start of the season was to make the Playoffs 12 of the Champions League but even to continue our European journey in the CEV Volleyball Cup is a big thing.”
