RC CANNES hope for happy end of their European campaign
2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Women
Cannes, France, January 26, 2016. With their final match in Pool D of the 2016 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Women coming up on Wednesday night, French multiple champions RC CANNES will have a last opportunity to take at least one victory from their campaign in Europe’s elite competition this season.
The matchup with Serbia’s Vizura BEOGRAD will put an end to a very busy month, with a heavy programme and a lot of games for the girls from the French Riviera, which gave Yan Fang the opportunity to cement the cohesion of the group and work on the collective strength of his team.
“We are fully aware that this year’s European adventure is almost over,” admits Yan Fang, the Chinese-born long-time coach of RC CANNES. “Nevertheless, you can count on our team to prove its fighting spirit to the fans during this last home match. It will be an opportunity for our group to show the progress we have made over the last few months and to continue to build an increasingly competitive team until the end of the season.”
“Indeed, we are still facing two important challenges at the national level,” Yan Fang continues, “i.e. the Championship and the Cup, which are, of course, our main objectives and are still within our reach. We expect full support from our fans to help us celebrate a happy end to this European campaign,” he concludes.
