Baku, Azerbaijan, March 28, 2015. Dinamo KRASNODAR became the first known finalist in this year’s European Cups. The Russian team will play for gold in the women’s 2015 CEV Volleyball Cup after claiming another victory over semifinal opponent Rabita BAKU. In Saturday’s second leg game in the Azerbaijani capital, Dinamo took 75 minutes to shut out the home team by 3:0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-20).
Thoughout the first set it was a real tough game with point-for-point struggle and Rabita moving forward to a 19-15 lead. With seven points in a row, Dinamo stepped ahead to 22-19. The Russian team continued with the highest spirit and ended the set at 25-23. Dinamo was able to maintain the supremacy throughout the second set and won it by 25-19, thus paving its way to the final after the 3:1 victory at home in the first leg. In the third set, both teams demonstrated a good game. Having maintained its inspiration throughout the match, Dinamo won this last set by 25-20 and is now waiting to find out whether Poland’s Atom Trefl SOPOT or Turkey’s Galatasaray Daikin ISTANBUL will represent the next challenge in the final.
Tatiana Kosheleva contributed 18 points to the victory to become the best scorer of the match. Rabita’s Gyselle Silva Franco topped her team’s chart with 10 points.
