Zellik, Belgium, March 27, 2015. Belgian sensation Volley behappy2 ASSE-LENNIK is set to confront Dinamo MOSCOW in the semifinals of the 2015 CEV Volleyball Cup - Men. The Belgian team was impressed by the way Dinamo played in the first match at their own competition hall winning all three sets by 25-16, but it has not lost a home game this season yet and might just be able to surprise the Russians at home in the comfort of their own Molenbos hall.
Coach Johan Devoghel is optimistic, but also realistic. “It will be a difficult game,” he says. “Dinamo showed that it is the big favourite in this confrontation, but every match needs to be played. We will see how it works out. Our own sports hall is way smaller than the one in Moscow Dinamo is used to, so that might be an advantage for us.”
In the first leg, Volley behappy2 had to play without its Dutch opposite Robin Overbeeke, who was suffering from a mild hamstring injury. “We are hoping Overbeeke can play,” Devoghel adds. “But we still have to wait and see if he is ready to play a full match.”
The return match in Zellik on March 28 starts at 20:30 local time and will be streamed live on LAOLA1.tv.
