Despite injuries and other problems, Partizan Vizura not giving up before match up with Turkish giant
2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Women

Belgrade, Serbia, January 27, 2015. In the last match on schedule for Pool E of the 2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Women Serbian rookies Partizan Vizura BEOGRAD will host VakifBank ISTANBUL, the same team they had started their campaign with some weeks ago. VakifBank is the current leader of the group and even though the home heroines have taken only two points from their five matches so far, this does not prevent the hosts from wanting to deliver a good performance to round off their campaign in Europe’s elite competition for this season.

Team captain Bianka Busa shares that attitude and approach to the match with Turkey’s giant:  “After the last match against RC CANNES we still have problems with players being injured or sick. Ljiljana Rankovic and I still have fever but we will go out there and play as much as we can. Once again we can’t count on the complete roster and Tijana Boskovic will not be able to play. The match will be difficult, we all know who VakifBank is, but we will try to play as good as we did until now, so I hope that we can get a positive result at the end of the day.”

“In the first game against VakifBank we didn’t show what we are capable of,” Busa continues, “we were afraid because we played against one of the strongest teams in Europe. After the game ended, we realised that we can stand a chance as we did with all other teams in the pool. So, we are extremely motivated for this match as we know that participation in this elite competition is extremely important for our careers. I played the last match with RC CANNES as middle blocker, and that was the first time I performed on that position and it went just fine, so we are all willing to deliver a good performance also in this return match with VakifBank.”

On the other side head coach Slobodan Radivojevic spoke quite frankly: “We have been changing our roster and line up in each one of the five matches we have played so far. Unfortunately once more we can’t count on a complete roster also for this home match with VakifBank. The only bad thing so far in this campaign is that we should have played much better in our game with PIACENZA and taken some points from that game. We are not going to give in that quickly in the match with VakifBank, we will try to provide some resistance and we will see what follows as we know we are playing a formidable opponent. They will probably calculate and for sure rest some of their starting players; we will look for our chances and try to get some points in order to continue our European journey.”
