TOURS VB want to get boost of confidence from their final CL match
2015 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League - Men
Tours, France, January 25, 2015. On Tuesday night France’s champions TOURS VB will welcome Noliko MAASEIK with no pressure as these teams are already eliminated from this year’s European Cups. However, the Frenchmen will be trying to get their revenge after losing the away match played earlier this season at the tie-break after dissipating a 2:0 lead. This time around TOURS VB will be able to count on their Czech star opposite David Konecny and a home victory would provide the right boost of confidence for the remainder of their domestic season. Though they just claimed their last match in the French national league with TOURCOING Lille Métropole, TOURS VB still haven’t yet performed at their best.
Noliko MAASEIK, on the other hand, will be relying once again on their rising star Krisztian Padar, after the 18-year old Hungarian opposite scored 29 points in the home match with TOURS VB, and also on outside spiker François Lecat who last Tuesday recorded 21 in the game with Halkbank ANKARA. Even though they have no chance to make the Challenge Round of the 2015 CEV Volleyball Cup – Men, Noliko are determined to keep their third place in the standings of Pool G.
“We are very motivated ahead of this match, especially since we finish our duties in the competition playing at home. Our goal is not to finish last in the Pool,” says TOURS VB General Manager Pascal Foussard.
“My players want to get their revenge and it will be important to give it all for this last match and get back some confidence as the French national league remains our priority for this season,” adds TOURS VB head coach Mauricio Paes.
