Galatasaray’s women hungry for revenge after tie-break loss in Poland
2015 CEV Volleyball Cup - Women
Istanbul, Turkey, January 21, 2015. Turkey’s Galatasaray Daikin ISTANBUL will be hosting Poland’s Tauron MKS DABROWA GORNICZA on Thursday night at Burhan Felek Volleyball Hall for a re-match in their 2015 CEV Volleyball Cup quarter-final clash after last week the Poles cruised to a hard-fought 3:2 home victory. The match is set to start at 20:30 local time.
The hosts of Galatasaray will be trying to get three points from this return match in order to move on straight to the Challenge Round without having to play a golden set. “Last week we lost at the tie-break there in Poland and we got to experience that this competition is getting tougher and tougher as you move on from one round to the next one,” says the libero of Galatasaray, Nihan Güneyligil. “However, I am absolutely confident that we can win this second match and avoid the golden set, if possible. We are greed for more success since we have a team composed of many young players. I expect a difficult match where every single mistake may be crucial. This applies to both teams. It is a make-or-break bout, so to speak. We will do everything we can in order to move on to the next stage of this competition.”
