Two sets away from Challenge Cup quarter-finals, Galatasaray expect difficult match in Slovakia
2015 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup - Men
Istanbul, Turkey, January 20, 2015. After cruising to a 3:0 home victory last week, Turkey’s Galatasaray FXTCR ISTANBUL are just two sets away from making the quarter-finals of the 2015 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – Men. On Wednesday they will be playing their return match with Slovakia’s Chemes SPISSKA NOVA VES and they will need only two sets to seal their ticket to the round of the best eight in this competition.
However, their task is not as easy as it may sound. The fans of Chemes had travelled to Istanbul last week to support their heroes and with their drums they created a great atmosphere also at Burhan Felek Volleyball Hall. The team captain of the Turkish team, Selcuk Keskin, says: “Volleyball is a tough game where you have to be quick, accurate, swift, and clever; on top of this you have to stay focused all the time. It requires hard work to be successful. But this is not enough. You should never underestimate the power of the fans and after seeing them last week in Istanbul, I can sense that a battle is awaiting us tomorrow in Slovakia.”
