Galatasaray want to seize the night while facing Finnish ‘Hurricanes’
2015 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup - Men
Istanbul, Turkey, November 18, 2014. On Wednesday Galatasaray FXTCR ISTANBUL of Turkey will be hosting Finland’s Hurrikaani LOIMAA for the return match on schedule for the second round of the 2015 CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup – Men. The match will be played at Burhan Felek Volleyball Hall, the real Volleyball ‘home’ of Turkey’s megalopolis.
“We are hoping that this match will provide everyone with an opportunity to see some high-quality Volleyball,” says Galatasaray FXTCR head coach Flavio Gulinelli. “And I also hope that our fans and all Volleyball fans here in Istanbul will come to the sports hall and fill up the tribunes as we do need their support. I believe that the mistake we made in Finland was that we did not play our own game. Tomorrow we must change that and remember that what really matters is our performance and not what our rivals will be doing.”
Galatasaray struggled to win their away match before they finished it at the tie-break. Hurrikaani LOIMAA could rely on an excellent performance by Vladimir Cedic and Aivars Petrusevics. If the Finns are able to win the return match at the tie-break, a golden set would follow. “We are surely going to play in such a way that we can avoid that perspective,” says home captain Selcuk Keskin.
